"As an Attorney from Ghana, I came to Tulane to pursue a master's program, specifically in Maritime and Admiralty law. My interest in this field was greatly heightened by the maritime incidents in my home region.  Maritime law plays an integral role in our daily lives with approximately 80-90 percent of global trading occurring via sea routes.  This realization further fueled my passion for this field of study. Tulane's stellar reputation for its Maritime and Admiralty Law Program solidified my decision as it is globally recognized as one the best in the world.

The initial stages of this academic endeavor were quite overwhelming, primarily due to the transition of a new legal system and adapting to a different style of legal education.  However, the welcoming and supportive community at Tulane has been instrumental in easing the transition.  From the academic supervisors, to the teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the esteemed professors, and the friendships I have cultivated, I have found a network of individuals always ready to lend a helping hand.

My experience at Tulane has been enriched by the diverse international student community I have become a part of.  Through our conversations and collaborations, we have come to recognize the importance of drawing on the collective wisdom of our respective nations to make a meaningful impact in our field. My educational journey at Tulane has been very transformative. It has not only expanded my knowledge and experience, but has also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the significance of Maritime and Admiralty law in our interconnected world."
