Education Abroad
Studying abroad is an exciting part of the Tulane experience that large numbers of students enjoy during their time at Tulane. Study abroad programs are offered on almost every world continent through four of the University’s schools, including the School of Public Health and Tulane Law School. Whether you’re spending a summer away or participating in a semester exchange, studying abroad is an excellent opportunity for cultural immersion and educational enrichment.
Education Abroad Options at Tulane
Through the close curation of a list of international partner programs in over forty countries, roughly one-third of undergraduate students participate in a study abroad program during their career at Tulane.
Committed to the importance of international experience and reinforcing the University’s mission to help students develop skills for living in a diverse world, the Stone Center offers programs in Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.
Freeman programs are a good fit for independent and self-motivated students. They offer a broad range of academic offerings, cultural immersion, and freedom to engage in extracurricular activities at the host university.
In addition to interesting and well-taught courses, students will find professionally run programs that offer extra-curricular activities, living accommodations, internships and faculty who will explore the culture with their students.
Learn to characterize the risks posed by environmental contamination and identify environmental factors impacting public health in Suriname or be introduced to the cultural, social, economic, epidemiological aspects of China’s healthcare system.
This four-year undergraduate program integrates liberal arts and business disciplines, extensive language instruction, and two study abroad experiences (a month-long summer and an academic year). Earn a B.A. from the School of Liberal Arts and a B.S.M. from the School of Business.
