Biography
As Director of Global Engagement in Tulane University’s Office of International Affairs & Provost (Tulane Global), Ana supports the senior leadership team by directing signature global engagement initiatives across campus, locally, and internationally. She oversees communications strategies for Tulane Global to enhance the University’s reputation as a top-tier research institution of global consequence, including website content, social media, and print and digital communications.
Ana helps spearhead collaborative global engagement events and initiatives and manages key global engagement programs in partnership with academic and administrative units across the University. Her role also advances Tulane’s international engagement by managing the University’s international agreements repository, supporting visibility, coordination, and strategic alignment of global partnerships.
In addition, Ana serves on Tulane’s global travel safety and health assurance leadership team. In this capacity, she co-manages the University’s international traveler management and tracking system, supports international partnerships tracking, and contributes to international crisis planning as a member of the Tulane Global travel safety team.
Ana holds an undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese, both from Tulane University.
