Meredith Connelly is a recent transplant from her hometown of Tampa, Florida. Her passion for language and literature manifested itself through her chosen fields of study at Rollins College, where she double majored in English and French while completing her honors thesis concerning the parallels between the plays of socialist-feminist playwright Caryl Churchill and the historical progression of the Women’s Liberation Movement. Meredith was fortunate enough to take advantage of the numerous study abroad opportunities available to her at Rollins, and spent the spring semester of her junior year living with a host family in the tenth arrondissement of Paris, France eating far more cheese than is generally advisable. She then spent two weeks of her senior year in Ireland and Scotland on an intensive field study that explored the relationship between medieval myth and modern nostalgia through visits to major cities like Dublin and Edinburgh, as well as the stunning Highlands.
As a Study Abroad Advisor, Meredith assists students in realizing their international education goals, guiding them through the stages of selecting a program, completing their application, and successfully navigating the transition of living abroad.
