"International education is important to me because of how much closer it brings the world together. Not just physical borders but also mental borders separate the people of the world. This has continued to the many beautiful cultures that have developed over time, but can also sometimes lead to family perceptions of each other. Things you read in books are valuable, but to me, nothing beats the in-person experience of international exchange. It is what has allowed me to experience the US beyond the things I saw on TV back home, and it will continue to provide valuable opportunities to explore the world."
