This session dives into one of the most important issues of the 21st century: the geopolitics of water. Panelists will discuss the role water, “the next oil,” and hydro-diplomacy play in shaping the current international order, while investigating how engineering, environmental design, and government intervention affect the lives, sustainability, and economic futures of the Global South with a strong focus on the Middle East and Africa.
