Welcome

Welcome to the NTC Office of English for Academic and Professional Purposes (EAPP). Our program is dedicated to fostering our students' professional and academic excellence and promoting interaction and communication both within the Tulane University community and with the global community as a whole. Our program is composed of two main branches: EAPP for international students, and TESL for current and future ESL teachers.

EAPP

The EAPP program teaches: 1. how to learn language effectively; 2. how to solve communication issues as they occur; and 3. how to engage in social, academic, and professional discourses with confidence. For more information go to english.tulane.edu

TESL

If you are interested in working in a global classroom consider our teaching ESL (TESL) program. It consists of four classes on methods, structure, language/culture, and curriculum design. For more information go to tesol.tulane.edu Students interested in connecting with the international students on campus in an informal setting should check out the conversation partner program.

International Students

If you are interested in perfecting your English, please visit English for Academic and Professional Purposes. English language classes are currently only open to students enrolled at Tulane University.

Conversation Partner Program

Our program pairs a native English speaking student with a student from a different language background to improve each other's language skills and learn more about each other's culture. To sign up, click here or if you have any questions, email the CPP. Enrollment for the Spring 2020 session of the CPP closes Feb. 1st.
