There are on-campus and off-campus events throughout the year, check out our weekly digest to know about everything going on for the current week. Come join us and meet international and internationally-minded people in the Tulane community.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs (The 'O') and OISS hold a Thanksgiving Dinner for students and staff on campus before the holiday break. The event is open to the entire Tulane community and includes a Kid’s Zone with crafts and entertainment for children. Every year we are looking for volunteers to serve food and also bring/cook their own food.
The annual International Food and Music Festival happens around the month of April and it is also in cooperation with The Office of Multicultural Affairs (The 'O'). Volunteers play a vital role to make this party happen! This is an outdoor music, food, and culture festival that highlights the international and cultural diversity at Tulane. We have student and professional performances, food from around the world, a demonstration and storytelling tent, a Kids Zone complete with a bounce house, all on the Newcomb Quad.
The Study Abroad Fair takes place in the middle of International Education Week each October. The Office of Study Abroad welcomes representatives from study abroad programs all over the world, as well as Tulane departments, to promote their programs to interested students.
Every year around Halloween we host our famous Pumpkin Carving event during our Global Cafe. This is a fun event where students are supplied with pumpkins and the tools to carve out various spooky designs. Come celebrate this American tradition by carving your own pumpkin or showing someone how to do it.
Every year the Tulane international community gets to enjoy Mardi Gras at our Global Cafe! We invite everyone to make their own Mardi Gras Mask, and get some information about the upcoming parades. Besides enjoying the usual coffee and pastries, we also have King Cake! Join us to celebrate this fun tradition.
Every year, Tulane University and the Center for Global Education celebrate International Education Week which highlights the benefits of internationalization efforts on our campus. Students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to participate in this important week of programming.
