Summer Programs Abroad
There are two ways to study abroad during the summer:
- Programs administered by Tulane academic departments (Tulane summer programs)
- Programs admininstered by other Schools (non-Tulane summer programs)
1. Tulane Summer Programs Every year Tulane schools, centers and departments make available a limited number of short-term faculty-led overseas programs. This page contains contact information on these summer programs offered by Tulane University.
Please refer to the following program or department directly for all program details.
Office of Study Abroad
Department of Anthropology
- Portugal: Archaeology (see Professor Trent Holliday, Anthropology)
Stone Center for Latin America Studies
Center for Public Service
2. Non-Tulane summer programs
The Center for Global Education does not maintain an approved list of summer study abroad programs. Students are expected to research and identify summer programs that match their individual interests.
In order to seek transfer credit approval, students participating on a summer program not sponsored by a Tulane academic department must complete the non-Tulane Summer Study Abroad Program form (see below). All credits earned abroad must be transcripted by an accredited degree-granting institution overseas in order to seek transfer credit equivalencies. Programs that are not accredited, such as stand-alone language institutes, will not be approved.
