Study Abroad Peer Advisors
These outstanding Tulane students studied abroad in 2008-09. They now work in the Center for Global Education to share their experiences with prospective study abroad students, and guide students through the application process. During office hours, a peer advisor is always available to discuss study abroad with interested students.

Joshua Domer
Majors: Psychology, Political Science
Studied abroad: CIEE Study Center at the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland, Fall 2008
My name is Joshua Domer and I studied abroad Fall '08 in Poland. I am a Psychology and Political Science double major. What I loved the most about studying abroad is all the memories of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I made with the friends I met all across Eastern Europe. I met some of my best friends bonding over adventures from traveling cross-country and living abroad.
Ereeni Roulakis
Majors: Latin American Studies, History
Studied abroad: San Jose, Costa Rica, with the Stone Center for Latin American Studies, Summer 2007; and Buenos Aires, Argentina, at Universidad de Buenos Aires with Middlebury College School in Latin America, Fall 2008

Hi everyone! I’m Ereeni Roulakis, a senior studying Latin American Studies and History at Tulane. During my time at Tulane, I’ve been able to study abroad in Costa Rica and Argentina and also received a grant this summer to learn about feminism in La Paz, Bolivia. I also have traveled extensively around Greece and parts of Turkey and can speak a heavily American-accented form of Greek. Besides traveling, I also enjoy bicycles and the Audubon Zoo. I’m excited to be one of the new Peer Advisors to share the amazing experiences that I’ve had, and to help others reach their destination of choice!
Katherine King
Major: History of Art
Studied abroad: Junior Year Abroad (JYA) at University College London, UK, 2008-09 Academic Year

I'm Katherine King, a senior in the History of Art department. I spent my junior year at University College London in the UK. I definitely miss eating churros in Camden Town, but my favorite part of the study abroad experience was the incredible group of people from all around the world that I got to live and study with. I traveled to France, Germany, Italy, and Spain as well, so I’m ready to talk about anything that has to do with Europe in general, but London is my favorite city in the whole wide world. Talk to me!
Sona Mohnot
Majors: English, Art History, Italian
Studied abroad: Boston University Center for Italian & European Studies at the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, 2008-09 Academic Year

Hello! My name is Sona Mohnot and I am a senior this year. I am an English major with minors in Art History and Italian. From the moment I came to Tulane, I knew I wanted to study in Italy, even though I had never been there before nor had I taken any Italian classes! Last year, I studied abroad in Padova, Italy. One of my favorite parts of my experience (aside from the amazing food!) was watching how quickly much my language skills improved. I also lived with a host family and I doubt my year could have been as successful as it was without them; they were always there to encourage me and help me with any questions I had about Padova. And being in Europe made it such an convenient way to travel to other countries nearby; there was never an idle moment to spare!
