Tulane University began sending undergraduates abroad on yearlong exchange programs in the 1950s and has continued this important tradition ever since. Check out all the ways that Study Abroad impacts the Tulane community in New Orleans and all over the world.

OSA offers programs in over 40 countries spanning every world region.

OSA sends approximately 500 students abroad each year.

OSA runs three summer programs on which 10 Tulane faculty members teach each year.

30% of study abroad students take all of their courses in their host country language.

Study Abroad at Tulane began in the 1950s, with direct enrollment at the Sorbonne in Paris, the Complutense in Madrid and the Universita di Firenze in Florence.

OSA welcomes between 10 and 15 exchange students to New Orleans each year from Singapore, France, Germany, and Mexico.

The Office of Study Abroad (OSA) compiles and publishes an annual Statistical Report on the number of international students and visiting scholars enrolled at and hosted by the Tulane University. These data sets are also reported to the Institute of International Education (IIE) Open Doors Report each year. For more information, please contact our office.
